eats ‘n’ treats

The best part about Drew’s Eatery in Lincoln Square isn’t the owner’s friendly disposition, the eco-friendly set-up, or even the daily specials that will net you a fine lunch for less than $6. Nope. It’s the desserts. More specifically, the ice cream, which is offered in both organic dairy and soy formats (the latter provided by the folks at Chicago Soydairy).

Follow Drew on Twitter or become a Facebook fan, and you’ll get notification of specials offered exclusively to the Web 2.0 crowd. Recent deals include 15% off all cash purchases, sandwich-side-drink combo for $4.98, and kids’ meals (including dessert!) for $5.

Bonus: lots of vegan options alongside plenty of omnivore choices, free wifi (ask for the password when ordering), and a kids’ play area, which includes books, small toys, and a miniature wiener mobile. Score!

Drew’s Eatery (2207 W Montrose Ave, 773-463-7397) is open Tue-Sat 11am-7pm & Sun 11am-5pm. Visa, Mastercard, and Discover accepted.
